Since the days when I could first hold a crayon, I have been creating. My poor mother had many surfaces to clean: walls, clothes, books, toys, floors and occasionally, even me.
During my final year of highschool, I did an internship with MindPlay, a small educational software firm. I wrote music and recorded sounds for games. When they discovered my doodling habit, I was put into an office with a computer and art software and told, "You can go back to work when you've figured it out". Two days later I was making game graphics.
The realization that I could make interactive art, have fun, and keep clean left me with a brand new world view and a desire to learn more!
With this focus, I went to Northern Arizona University, in Flagstaff, Arizona. I spent 3 years studying graphic design, print, and typography. Time well spent, giving me a solid foundation and respect for design.
NAU's Graphic design major required one semester of computer art. It was there I learned to make websites. This one class inspired me to change my major to Computer Art. Making websites was the perfect fusion of challenging problem solving, interactive art and design creativity.

Why starlightfire.com?
Stars have captivated man throughout history. The beauty of the cosmos inspires me to believe that even in the dark of night, we have been left some light for guidance and with that faith, brings the hope of a dawn.
Light shows true from false. Light illuminates the paths we walk and helps us to see clearly.
Fire is used in a variety of ways, one of which is to purify. Gold and silver are put through a firey process to burn out impurities and separate unwanted substances. My time here on earth is the fire that (hopefully) will cause me to become a better person.
